However, the food, which included a mishmash of cold and soggy dishes, unfortunately, did not live up to its potential. The crab Rangoon tasted more like fill than crab, and their lo mein was flavorless. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone looking for an authentic experience. " Kew Gardens is one of my favorite places in Herrin for a casual dinner. They have a buffet with a pretty good selection. I particularly enjoy their sesame chicken and egg rolls. The atmosphere could use more lighting, as it tends to feel dark at times. While not every trip has been perfect, I appreciate they maintain a consistent, friendly service. " Had a good experience here overall. My family enjoyed the buffet, but I do think it could be kept warmer. We had a nice variety of dishes and were able to find something everyone loved. The staff were attentive and made us feel welcome, which is always a plus. On the downside, the setup felt a bit cramped, and we had to keep adjusting our chairs.
