" When in Monticello, this is my favorite spot for Chinese food every time I visit! The egg foo young has the perfect texture, fluffy and full of flavor! The spicy chicken was one of the best I’ve had, and the side of fried rice complemented it very well. Though the service can be a bit slow, the food is always worth the wait. " I've been to this restaurant a few times and while the food is generally good, I sometimes find the flavors inconsistent. One day, the lo mein is packed with flavor, and another day it feels like they cut back on the seasoning. That being said, the service is always commendable. The staff are friendly and will go out of their way to accommodate requests. I particularly enjoyed the fried dumplings. When they are fresh and hot, they simply melt in your mouth. " Tried this restaurant after reading some glowing reviews, and it did not disappoint! The first dish I had was chicken lo mein, and it opened my eyes to how amazing Chinese food can be! It was packed with flavors and the chicken was succulent. The ambiance was basic, fitting for a takeaway place, but that didn’t matter because the food was the star of the show. " I can't express how much I love this hidden gem in Monticello! The variety on the menu is impressive, and everything I've tried so far has been fantastic, especially their wonton soup, which is the best I've had in a long time. Each wonton was plump with filling, and the broth had that comforting flavor that made me feel right at home even when I was dining solo. The employees were genuinely warm and welcoming, making sure my experience was top-notch. My only complaint would be the limited seating, but it's totally worth it for the food! " After hearing rave reviews, I finally tried Chinatown Kitchen and was underwhelmed. The egg rolls were more dough than filling and didn’t impress me. On top of that, the service wasn’t as fast as I expected during lunch hour, and I felt a bit neglected. Perhaps it was just a busy day, but it did impact my experience. I did enjoy the sesame chicken, but the overall experience didn’t live up to all the praise I’d read. I guess I’ll give it one more shot but next time, hopefully, they will step it up. " I visited Chinatown Kitchen on a recommendation and I must say, I was not let down! I had the chicken lo mein, which was so good with generous meat portions and a lovely blend of vegetables.
