" Unfortunately, I didn’t have the best experience at SpiceUp. The food was decent, but I was disappointed with the service. The staff seemed overworked, and I noticed some delays in getting my order. I definitely wanted to try their authentic dishes but felt the execution fell short of the hype. I ordered the Kung Pao chicken and found it to be pretty average. I was expecting something more! I really think they can work on their consistency. " (*Curated Review*)
" I enjoyed my visit to SpiceUp Szechuan. The ambience was nice, although maybe a bit too dim for my liking. The staff were polite and attentive, making sure our drinks were filled. The standout for me was the hot and sour soup; it had the perfect balance of tanginess and spice. However, I did find my main dish, Kung Pao chicken, to be somewhat underwhelming compared to others I’ve had before. It felt a little bland. Still, I appreciate the effort they put forth—overall, a good experience but room for improvement. " (*Curated Review*)
" I'm a huge fan of spicy food, so I was thrilled to discover SpiceUp! I ordered the fried long beans and the Szechuan dry chili chicken, and OH MY, the flavor was next level! David was very friendly, chatting with us as he served our food, and it truly enhanced our dining experience. The only downside was that the portion sizes could have been larger—I could have easily eaten more of that chicken, it was that good! I’ll definitely be back for takeout and to try new items. " I’ve been to many Chinese and Szechuan restaurants, and this one stands out for its authenticity. The Cumin Lamb was fantastic, deeply spiced, and well cooked. It’s hard to find this kind of genuine flavor outside of Szechuan. The service was fairly quick, and David really knows how to make a good first impression with his friendly manner. I’d love to return here and explore more of the menu—so many tempting options! " (*Curated Review*)
" Came in for a lunch special and was quite pleased! The staff were friendly, and the food came out promptly. I enjoyed the Hot and Sour soup very much. It packed a lot of flavor and was just the right amount of spicy. The Kung Pao was also good, but I felt it could’ve used a bit more crunch. Overall a great value for the price. I’ll be returning soon for sure! " (*Curated Review*)
" Recently had a team lunch here and was quite pleased! They were able to accommodate our large group without a hitch. Everyone loved the array of dishes, especially the Sweet and Sour Soup and the Dan Dan noodles. What was remarkable was how quickly the food arrived, making it a perfect choice for a business meeting. I appreciated how David provided some depth to our meal by sharing the history behind some dishes. I’d recommend it for work lunches or casual get-togethers. " (*Curated Review*)
" While the place has a decent reputation, my meal did not meet the expectations set by others. I wasn’t a big fan of the Spicy Dry Hot Pot; it was quite oily, and the spice didn’t balance well with the other flavors. The wait staff were chipper but somewhat inattentive. On a positive note, the ambiance was nice and inviting. Not sure if I would return—maybe for a different dish? " (*Curated Review*)
