" I was surprised by how good the food was on my latest visit. Although the curry was different from what I'm accustomed to, I was pleasantly surprised by the variety of spices used in the sauces. The staff took care to help us sample a few dishes before we ordered and they made the experience much better. I visited for their lunch buffet and although the price was reasonable, many of the dishes tasted like they were made ahead and left to sit out too long. The dishes should showcase fresh ingredients and bold flavors, but I found them rather dull. " Royal Thai could be so much more than it is. While the food is cheap, it feels it; you might save some bucks but you are really trading flavor for savings. When I visited, the spring rolls, while decent, were overshadowed by the bland entrees. It could be a great place if they worked on the recipes and presentation a bit more. Attentive staff, though! However, the Massaman curry I ordered was quite disappointing—it lacked the sweetness and creaminess I was hoping for. My date also found her noodles bland.
