" I wished I had paid more attention to the reviews before deciding on San Antonio. I had the taco trio platter. While I liked the ambiance and had high expectations, it was subpar. The meat was bland and seasoned only with salt. I had to request extra salsa to enhance the flavor. $18 for this? That's outrageous! The service was also lackluster— our server seemed overwhelmed and forgot our appetizer order over the course of the meal. I won’t return. " (*Curated Review*)
" My experience at San Antonio was unexpected. As soon as we arrived, we were greeted warmly by the host. Our server was cheerful and eager to share recommendations. I ordered the taco platter and was pleasantly surprised by the quality. The tortillas appeared homemade and were filled generously. The atmosphere was vibrant, encapsulating the authentic Mexican vibe. Despite a slight delay with our food, my overall experience was positive, and I would highly recommend it to anyone near Wisconsin Dells! " (*Curated Review*)
" One of my friends suggested this place after hearing great things, so we gave it a shot. The ambiance was nice, but I think the prices are unreasonably high for the quality. My burrito was gigantic but shockingly bland. We didn’t receive chips or salsa either— a strange touch for a Mexican restaurant! There was also a noticeable delay in service; refill requests were often forgotten. I might not be back, it's a long way from worth the money. " (*Curated Review*)
" I visited San Antonio Mexican Restaurant recently with friends and was eager to enjoy some authentic Mexican food. We chose a variety of dishes including enchiladas and carne asada. While the initial presentation was impressive, the flavors didn’t quite hit the mark for me. The top layer of my enchiladas was a tad bland, and they definitely could use a sprinkle of seasoning. The atmosphere was upbeat and fun, but the service left something to be desired; it took forever for our drink refills. I'm not sure if I'll return, maybe just for drinks next time. " My family and I visited San Antonio Mexican Restaurant last weekend, looking forward to some authentic dishes. We could smell the rich aromas as soon as we walked in, but we got seated at a table on the patio and then waited for nearly 25 minutes before a waiter attended us. Once he arrived, he casually took our drinks and meal orders. The highlight was the tacos which were delicious, packed with flavor; however, the rest of our meal felt rushed. Overall, the food’s quality was great, but their service needs improvement. I would give them another try in hopes of a better service experience. " (*Curated Review*)
" San Antonio Mexican Restaurant is truly a gem hidden in the state. The moment I entered, I was greeted with a lovely ambiance—colorful decor and energetic music. We felt welcomed right away. We ordered the special taco platter and it was fantastic! Each taco was so flavorful, and you could taste the authentic ingredients. I couldn't help but notice the friendly staff; they were always checking up on us. I really enjoyed how genuine the experience felt, just like being at a local eatery in Mexico. I plan on coming back with my family to show them how good this place is! " (*Curated Review*)
" I was highly disappointed with my visit to San Antonio Mexican Restaurant. The ambiance was okay, but when it came to the food, it was subpar and overpriced. I expected traditional flavors from this place but got lackluster tacos that tasted like it came from a chain restaurant. The wait staff was polite, but they seemed overworked and frequently forgot our drink orders. I'm not planning on returning to this place again; I’d rather find somewhere that honors authentic Mexican cuisine. " (*Curated Review*)
