" After hearing so many great things, I finally made it to Ichiban Teriyaki. The ambiance was casual, and the staff were extremely friendly. However, I was a bit let down when my Mongolian beef didn’t have the flavor punch I expected. It was tender, but somewhat bland compared to the other dishes I’ve had at different places. " I had a rather mixed experience at Ichiban Teriyaki. While the service was exceptional, the food itself didn’t live up to the hype for me. I ordered the orange chicken and was surprised that it tasted more like sweet syrup than the balance of sweet and tangy that I love. The portions were decent, and the rice was good, but the entrees needed more seasoning. The gyoza was great though, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting.
