" I had the pleasure of visiting Carlos Birrieria recently and was completely blown away by the birria tacos. They were packed with flavor, and the meat was so tender, it practically melted in my mouth. The service was prompt and the staff was incredibly friendly, making the experience even better. The outdoor seating area was great too, allowing us to enjoy the beautiful weather while eating delicious food! " Carlos Birrieria has become my go-to for Mexican food! Their tacos are consistently good, and the portion sizes are just right for the price. On my last visit, I tried the new salsa they've introduced, and it had the perfect kick! However, the place can get quite busy downtown, and finding a seat might be challenging. The birria burrito was filled with meat and flavor, not to mention the consomé on the side was a delightful addition. I also tried the Tacos and they were just as good. The only downside was that it was quite busy when I went, and I had to wait a little longer than expected. But the staff handled it well and were still very friendly. The birria lacked the depth of flavor that I had previously loved, and the service was slower than usual. I received my order wrong, and it took a while to get someone’s attention to resolve it. " For street tacos, this place is the best I have found in Portland! The birria tacos are my personal favorite; they are just bursting with flavor. However, when I visited last, they were out of avocado, which was a bit disappointing. I also appreciate how the staff knows their regular customers and how they make everyone feel valued. " I can't stop thinking about the birria! It's so flavorful and authentic; it reminded me of the street tacos I used to have when visiting Mexico. The service was immaculate; they were very attentive throughout my meal. I also ordered the Nino burrito based on the staff's recommendation, and I'm so glad I did.
