" I love Hawaiian Island for its takeout. Though I wish they had dining options, the food is always ready in no time. Their fried rice is probably my favorite, and I can't complain about the sweet and sour chicken either. The ambiance is nothing special since it's all takeout now, but the staff has always been welcoming and attentive. I've been ordering from here for years and while I've seen some fluctuations in quality, the portions remain generous and the flavors are mostly there. " Ordered takeout for a family dinner and was quite disappointed. The shrimp fried rice was decent, but the house special lo mein tasted like overcooked ramen noodles with no flavor. It's hard to believe that this used to be one of the top places for takeout in our area. The only redeeming factors were that the staff was kind and the portions were substantial but the lack of seasoning and poor ingredient quality really made this meal forgettable. " What happened to this place? I used to come here for the delicious crab rangoon and almond chicken! Recently, I ordered a combo plate and it was completely bland and lacked any seasoning. The egg rolls were more pastry than filling, and honestly, I think I've had better Chinese food from a grocery store.
