" I finally found a piece of Japan in Richmond! The flavors at Yokai Tapas are unapologetically authentic, transporting you straight to the heart of Japan. We tried a little of everything: the tuna tataki was fresh, nuanced, and the pork belly was beautifully cooked. " Sadly, my experience at Yokai Tapas Bar was underwhelming. While the setting was nice and cozy, the food did not live up to the hype that I had built up. A couple of dishes, such as the pork skin, felt lackluster and not very fresh. I was disappointed with the portion sizes relative to the asking price, leaving me feeling underwhelmed overall.
