" Hong Ban Jang has been my go-to for a while now. The tangsuyuk and jjampong are simply the best! I love how the tangsuyuk is not overly greasy and still maintains that crunch. Also, you get a large bowl of jjampong filled to the brim with seafood for a great price! I did notice they sometimes forget to refill the side dishes, which is a small annoyance, but the food more than makes up for it. Highly recommend if you're in Fort Lee! " (*Curated Review*)
" On a recent visit to Hong Ban Jang, I had a great time. The fried dumplings were a burst of flavor, cooked perfectly with a crispy texture. I also enjoyed their spicy jjajangmyeon, which was quite filling. The pricing is reasonable, especially for the portion sizes offered. The staff were attentive, which enhanced my dining experience. However, I think they should work on their wait times during busy hours, as it can be quite long. That said, I would recommend it to anyone looking for good Korean-Chinese food. " (*Curated Review*)
" This was my first experience at a Korean-Chinese restaurant, and I have to say, it was quite enjoyable! I ordered the haemul jjampong and got something that really hit the spot. The seafood was fresh, and the noodles had a delightful chewiness that I loved. The ambiance of the restaurant was pleasant and clean, giving a nice dining experience. However, the service staff seemed a bit overwhelmed that evening, which led to some delays in getting our food. Despite that, I would recommend visiting to experience the unique flavors. " At Hong Ban Jang, my experience was a mixed bag. The food was satisfactory but didn't really wow me. The jjajangmyeon felt a tad off; my guess is that it was too sweet for an authentic version. The service had its moments but ultimately seemed to lack the attentiveness needed for a great dining experience. The ambiance was nice, though, creating a decent atmosphere for a meal. I would be hesitant to recommend it overly. " (*Curated Review*)
" I recently visited this restaurant for the first time. I tried their jjamppong, which was recommended by a friend. It was spicy and full of seafood, and I loved how generous they were with the ingredients. The ambiance of the place is nice, but I noticed it was a bit crowded, which affected service a little. Overall, the food was very satisfying, but they should definitely manage the dining area better during peak hours. " (*Curated Review*)
" I recently tried their spicy jjajangmyeon, and it was quite different from what I usually expect! It had a unique flavor but was not traditional at all. I wish they made it more authentic rather than mixing it up. The place was clean and had a decent vibe with some busy moments. Overall, I think it's a nice place, but I'd prefer a more traditional take on the Korean-Chinese menu items. " (*Curated Review*)
" Every time I come to Hong Ban Jang, the experience varies. Last time I enjoyed a hearty meal with flavorful ramen, but this time the jjajangmyeon tasted different—definitely could use improvement. However, the atmosphere is always welcoming, and the restaurant maintains good cleanliness. I'm a fan of their side dishes, so I'll likely come back to try my luck with another meal!
