" Taverna Mercatto has it all - charm, ambiance, and taste, but my experience was somewhat mixed. The ambiance was inviting, with soft music enhancing the experience. Our waiter was polite and attentive. I had the seafood linguine; it was fresh but lacked seasoning, leaving much to be desired. The appetizers, however, dazzled; the calamari was perfectly cooked! For dessert, the panna cotta was a delight. That said, I feel the prices lean on the higher side given the inconsistency in the food’s flavors. I might return, but I’ll be selective about my orders. " An exceptional dining experience awaited us at Taverna Mercatto. We were greeted warmly at the door and quickly escorted to our table. The ambiance was cozy with a noticeable Italian flair. For appetizers, we started with the arancini which were perfect in their crispiness and flavor. For the main course, I chose the seafood linguine and it was delightful - generous portions of shrimp and mussels accompanied with a rich sauce that was not overly salty. The dessert menu was equally impressive; we indulged in the tiramisu. It was creamy, fluffy, and utterly delicious! Overall, service was attentive without being intrusive, and I found the prices fair given the quality. I’ll definitely return! " (*Curated Review*)
" I'm not typically one to leave a review, but my experience at Taverna Mercatto was worth mentioning. The restaurant exudes Italian charm, and the ambiance is perfect for family gatherings or a romantic night out. We sampled their seafood linguine which was divine and packed with flavor, just like in Italy! The service, however, was a bit slow, but our waitress was always apologetic and tried her best. Additionally, desserts were exquisite, particularly the panna cotta! Flavors were well-balanced and not overly sweet. I left feeling satisfied and would love to visit again to explore more of their menu. " (*Curated Review*)
" I’ve always wanted to try Taverna Mercatto based on the rave reviews I've seen online, and I finally got my chance! Upon walking in, the rustic décor immediately set the mood. Our server was quite charming and narrated the specials of the day confidently. I had the classic lasagna which was well-made, though I found myself wishing for it to be slightly warmer. The portion was generous, which I appreciated! The dessert menu enticed us wildly; we shared the affogato. It was a wonderful ending to our meal. The overall happy vibe made me feel like part of a larger family enjoying great food and company. I’ll certainly recommend it! " (*Curated Review*)
" I had high expectations based on the reviews, but my experience was slightly mixed. While the atmosphere is lovely and upscale, the food was just okay. I tried the gnocchi and pannacotta; the gnocchi texture was perfect, but it didn’t explode with flavor like I hoped. The service was a little bit slow despite not being too busy when we arrived. Still, the desserts were an absolute highlight with delicious options to choose from. All things considered, it wasn't a bad experience but I expect remarkable food when I try an Italian restaurant. " Our visit to Taverna Mercatto was during the height of dinner rush, so we expected some delay. Thankfully, the staff handled it well; our server was encouraging and kept us updated. We ordered a combination of dishes; my favorite was the gnocchi which had a lovely texture, albeit a tad small in serving size. The pappardelle with ragu was bursting with flavors. The wine selection was fantastic, and I appreciated the recommendations from our server. The atmosphere made it perfect for our gathering. I would recommend this restaurant, especially for its warm ambiance and lively interaction. " (*Curated Review*)
" Came here for a casual dinner with coworkers and it was just right for our needs. The atmosphere was relaxed, making it a good place to unwind and enjoy food. I ordered the pappardelle, and I loved how it was cooked to perfection. While some dishes from my coworkers were just average, mine packed a punch in flavor. Service was quick, which is ideal for after-work gatherings. The tiramisu for dessert won everyone over! I would recommend it for large groups. " (*Curated Review*)
