" Allegro La Verne is a solid choice for Italian food, but we had a mixed experience. The bruschetta was very fresh and delicious, but my entrée, the Penne Explosive, didn't have the kick I was hoping for. Service was a bit on the slow side, but our server was doing her best to manage several tables. The atmosphere was nice and we appreciated the outdoor seating. " What a little gem in La Verne! We tried Allegro for the first time last weekend and we were blown away. The atmosphere is so inviting and cozy. I had the Chicken Piccata and it was cooked to perfection, the lemon and capers brought it to life! My partner had the vegan pasta, and even I, a meat lover, was impressed. " What a fantastic place to enjoy Italian food! We went with a large group and had multiple dishes, and it was all delicious. I particularly loved the stuffed artichokes; they were stuffed perfectly and seasoned right. The service was prompt, and they were very accommodating to our group's needs. " I went to Allegro on a busy Saturday night and it was packed. We had to wait for a table, which was fine because they have a nice bar area. Once seated, though, the service was attentive. I ordered the Lasagna, which was hearty and a little salty for my taste, but still enjoyable. The wine selection was impressive and paired well with our meals. While I had a pleasant evening, a few of my friends found their meals underwhelming, so I guess it might just depend on what you order. " Allegro is like a home away from home for us! We’ve been coming here for over a decade. The food is always consistent; my favorites are the Fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp and their amazing Caprese salad. During our last visit, the server was exceptional, attentive, and helped us with wine pairings. We love sitting in their outdoor area, especially when the weather is nice. On occasion, we’ve noticed that during busy times, food can take longer, but the quality always makes it worth the wait. Highly recommend this place! " (*Curated Review*)
" My first visit to Allegro was disappointing. The food was bland and not authentic Italian. The ravioli tasted like it was frozen and just heated up. It was also overpriced for the quality.
