" I was really looking forward to trying Cocula, especially after reading all the rave reviews. While I did find the food decent, I didn’t think it was as spectacular as everyone made it out to be. I had the enchiladas, which felt a bit lackluster—definitely not bad, but not exciting either. Service was okay; my waiter didn’t check back with us as often as I’d have hoped. The atmosphere is friendly enough, and I liked the decor. I might give it another chance someday. " (*Curated Review*)
" I've been to Cocula a few times, but my recent visit left a stronger impression. The ambiance is perfect for a casual dinner, and I love their wide selection for the salsa bar. I tried the carne asada tacos, which I must say, rival some of the best I’ve had in Mexico! The portions were generous, definitely enough to satisfy my appetite. The service was good, with the staff being very friendly and checking in at just the right moments. I really appreciate a restaurant that makes you feel special. Definitely returning soon! " Last night, I decided to take my family out to Cocula, which has become quite popular in town. We were welcomed warmly, and it didn’t take long for us to place our order. I went for the birria tacos, which were fantastic! The meat was juicy, and the accompanying consome was flavorful. My kids enjoyed the quesadillas, and I was happy to see them clean their plates. The atmosphere is vibrant and family-friendly, and we had a wonderful time. Definitely recommend this place if you're looking for a great meal! " (*Curated Review*)
" My wife and I finally visited Cocula after hearing so many good things! I must say, they did not disappoint. Our server was attentive and provided us with excellent service throughout the evening. The atmosphere felt warm and welcoming, perfect for a date night. We ordered the carne asada and were pleased with its flavor—it tasted authentic and like something out of a traditional taqueria. The generous portions made it a filling meal too! We left satisfied and excited to return soon. " (*Curated Review*)
" I visited Cocula Mexican Restaurant II for dinner last week, and I was incredibly impressed! The moment I walked in, the warmth and welcoming atmosphere hit me. My waiter was very attentive without being overbearing, and my food arrived quickly. I ordered the chicken mole, and it was packed with flavor, the perfect amount of spice. The side of beans and rice were fresh and complemented the dish wonderfully. I also enjoyed the salsa bar, which had a variety of salsas to choose from. I can’t wait to come back and try other items on the menu! " (*Curated Review*)
" During our family trip to Asheville, we happened upon Cocula and decided to give it a shot, and we weren't disappointed! The food was bursting with flavors, especially the tamales, which were some of the best I've had outside of Mexico. The service was efficient as our plates came out hot and fresh. The atmosphere had a wonderful energy to it, making it great for families and friends alike. It’s remarkable to find a gem like this that combines authenticity with great service. Would court this place again in a heartbeat! " (*Curated Review*)
" On a recent family outing to Cocula, we had an overall solid experience, but there were a few issues. The food was delicious, especially the shrimp fajitas; however, my husband's order was wrong, which confused him a bit since he had to wait. The waitress was very polite and quick to help resolve it, which I appreciated. The atmosphere is lively, perfect for families, but the noise level could be hard to manage during peak hours. The salsa bar was a hit with the kids, who enjoyed building their own little taco creations. I recommend this restaurant for a good family meal! " (*Curated Review*)
