" After hearing so much buzz around Fabos Tacos, I finally decided to check it out. My experience was a mixed bag. While the flavors were certainly on point, especially with the al pastor, I found the portion sizes to be a bit lacking for the price. I left feeling a bit hungry despite enjoying the food. The atmosphere was casual and lively, which I liked, and the staff was attentive without being intrusive. Overall, I think I’d give it another shot but would likely order extra next time. " I absolutely loved my experience at Fabos Tacos! The blend of authentic flavors is something I have been longing for since moving to Portland. I tried the street queso tacos and I was in heaven. The cheese was gooey and the meat was bursting with flavor. I also really enjoyed the aguas frescas; refreshing and perfectly sweetened! The family-run atmosphere made me feel so welcomed. I will definitely be visiting again, although I am worried that it's too popular now, and I might have a long wait next time! But oh my, SO worth it! " (*Curated Review*)
" The food here is decent, but I was left slightly underwhelmed. The tacos were nice but not as flavorful as I anticipated based on all the hype surrounding Fabos Tacos. The guacamole was fresh though! The atmosphere is cozy and definitely had a homey feel. I think my expectations may have been too high, so perhaps I will give it another chance in the future. I have heard the birria is where they really shine, maybe next time I'll try that. " (*Curated Review*)
" I stopped by on a Tuesday evening just as they were about to close. I was a bit concerned about the freshness of the ingredients, but I was pleasantly surprised! The staff welcomed me in and recommended I try their elote. It was perfect and full of flavor! My tacos were good but a little smaller than I expected. Despite that, they were tasty and made right in front of me. The ambiance felt laidback and comfortable. I appreciated the fast service given the time of day. " (*Curated Review*)
" Fabos Tacos is a hidden gem! Tucked away in a part of the city that doesn’t look too promising, this spot surprised me with its authentic flavors. I tried the quesabirria tacos and they were incredibly flavorful, with the cheese oozing out. The consomé was rich and comforting. I also appreciated that they used double tortillas to keep everything intact. A big plus was the friendly service; it felt like dining at a friend's house. I will definitely be coming back!
