" On a recent visit to El Carrisal, I felt welcomed as soon as I walked in. The service was prompt and friendly, but unfortunately, the food was not to my taste. I ordered the burrito and found it very bland. It was more wrapped rice with minimal flavor. The chips served at the beginning were pretty good, however, so that was a nice way to start the meal. All in all, I would go back for drinks, but not for dinner. " (*Curated Review*)

" My friends and I decided to have dinner at El Carrisal and I was craving enchiladas. Although the service was great, the food was not very memorable. While my plate was visually appealing, the flavor was missing. Service was quick, but overall I wanted something more authentic and flavorsome, more like what I remember growing up with. I’ll probably seek out other Mexican spots before returning. " (*Curated Review*)

" I'm really torn about El Carrisal. On one hand, the staff was friendly and accommodating, which is always a plus. However, I was quite disappointed with the food; it just didn’t taste genuine to me. I had the beef fajitas, and all I could notice was the overwhelming amount of peppers and little meat. I’d hoped for something more authentic like I grew up eating, but the flavors seemed muted. I don't think I’ll make a return visit, but if you're looking for a place to casually grab a bite with pleasant service, this might fit the bill. " (*Curated Review*)

" I visited El Carrisal on a busy Friday night and I have to say, I had a decent experience. The wait staff was stretched thin, yet they managed to keep a positive attitude, which is commendable. The food was not bad either, but I was left wanting more in terms of spice and seasoning; it felt somewhat bland compared to other Mexican eateries I’ve tried. I had the shrimp tacos, which were fresh but could use more kick. The ambiance made up for it though, as it was lively but not overwhelming. Average experience overall. " (*Curated Review*)

" I’m a huge fan of good tacos, and I have to say I was excited about my visit to El Carrisal. The atmosphere was inviting, but unfortunately, my tacos let me down. They were filled with very little meat and maximum toppings that didn’t add much flavor. The service was kind, but when I asked for help, it felt like they were overloaded and I was just another customer. For now, I can’t recommend this place for a great taco experience. " I came to El Carrisal after hearing friends rave about it, but I honestly don't understand the hype. The food tasted bland, and my tacos were not better than what you get at a fast-food joint. I love the service and the friendly atmosphere—can't fault that—but when it comes to the food, it was a letdown. I expected an authentic experience, but this just missed the mark for me. So while I may return for a drink or two, I definitely won’t be ordering food again. " (*Curated Review*)

" El Carrisal is a decent spot, but I want to love it. I found the enchiladas to be creamy but lacking the authentic kick I expect from real Mexican cuisine. The service, however, was outstanding! The staff were incredibly attentive, making sure we were satisfied with our meals. The atmosphere is also a high point; it's colorful and makes for a cheerful dining experience. I will likely return—hopefully for just a few upgraded dishes. " (*Curated Review*)
