" I had high hopes going into Cardenas after hearing so much about it. However, my experience was less than stellar. The staff seemed overwhelmed, and I waited too long for someone to help me with something as simple as extra bags at checkout. The prices are reasonable, and they have a wonderful selection of fruits. I left without buying as I didn’t want to deal with the hassle. If they improve service, I might change my perspective. " The food at Cardenas has generally been fantastic, especially the bakery. However, my most recent visit led me to really question how fresh their items are. I purchased a box of pastries, and by the time I got home, some were stale. It's a shame, as I’ve had really great experiences before. I think more oversight in the bakery area could help.
