" Oh wow, where do I even begin? My family and I drove quite a distance to try La Escondida after hearing rave reviews. Once we arrived, we were amazed by their selection and how authentic everything felt, from the decor to the food. We decided to order a variety of dishes including tacos, enchiladas, and their famous menudo. Each dish was better than the last. The menudo had just the right balance of spices and the tortillas were freshly made and served warm. The service was attentive yet not overwhelming, just what we hoped for. " Typically when I think of Mexican food, I think greasy and unhealthy, but I was thoroughly impressed by the freshness at La Escondida. I had the grilled steak tacos which were well-seasoned and topped with fresh cilantro and onions. The homemade tortillas were a highlight for sure, they were soft and the perfect complement to the tacos.
