" La Rosa is a go-to for me whenever I'm on campus. The pizza is consistently flavorful and has never let me down. The crust is well done, and the sauce is on point! I usually choose to grab a slice in the afternoon when the rush dies down, and I recommend doing the same for a quicker service experience. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t great either. I expect a bit more excitement when dining out, especially given everything I’ve heard. " As a New Yorker living in Buffalo for a year, I had to check out La Rosa NY Pizza after hearing so much hype. While they do say it's authentic, I felt like it was lacking that true New York charm I was hoping for. I ordered a regina pizza, which looked beautiful, but when it came to taste, it fell flat for me. I guess my standards may be set a bit high, but if it’s a pizza place claiming to be New York style, it has some big shoes to fill. Nice staff and decor, though. Overall it gets a 3 from me. " I ordered a large pepperoni pizza with a side order of wings and no kidding, it knocked my socks off! The pizza was perfectly baked and had just the right balance of cheese and pepperoni. " If you are in the UB campus area, then La Rosa is an absolute must-try. The ambiance is perfect for casual dining and they offer great deals on slices. I ordered a combination pizza and it was as if each bite was made with care and attention. I was thoroughly impressed with the flavor balance. However, the pizza was a bit greasier than I prefer.
