" We came in with no expectations, but Hong Kong Buffet surprised us. While the food was somewhat average, we were pleased with the quantity of options available. The variety certainly catered to different tastes at our table. The salt-and-pepper shrimp was flavorful, I think that is what kept me coming back for some more. However, the lack of authentic tastes was apparent and the fried rice was underwhelming, to say the least. Service was somewhat slow; plates piled up a little longer on our table. " Overall, my family and I had a decent experience at Hong Kong Buffet, though it wasn’t without its flaws. The rest came across as below-average when it comes to flavor—especially the beef which felt more like a rubbery meat. Attention to the dining area was minimal, which was a shame because I think it could be a cozy place. With their current state, I'd hesitate to return unless they improve drafty food offerings. " I'm not sure what I was expecting with a buffet but honestly it was a letdown. My family all agreed that while there were plenty of options to choose from, the food was just bland. My fried rice tasted stale and some of the fried items were overly greasy. We appreciated the ice cream area, but as a Chinese buffet, I was hoping for something more delightful and authentic. " This buffet could certainly use some improvements. The atmosphere seemed a bit off; it looked like the place hadn't been cleaned thoroughly in a while. The food quality was just not there with most dishes being dried up or cold. The chicken teriyaki was more mushy than I expected, and the egg rolls tasted like they had been made days ago. However, I must say that the fruit bar was fresh and appetizing, and our server did engage us quite well which helped salvage our experience a bit. Overall though, I can’t recommend it to my friends.
