" Every time I come here, I am seriously amazed! I am a huge fan of both fish and chips and spicy Indian food, and Royal Guard wraps both in one. Today we opted for a takeaway and enjoyed the chicken tikka and the crispy fish. Man, the fish is just phenomenal! You can't find that quality of fish around here—so flaky and perfectly seasoned. It is a family-owned restaurant, which shows in how they treat you. Always a welcoming atmosphere, and John, who took our order, is a delight! Might have to try their buffet next time. Highly recommend! " (*Curated Review*)
" As a frequent traveler, I've sampled fish and chips from numerous places. Royal Guard Fish & Chip offers a nice spin with their focus on South Asian dishes, which I was eager to try. On my visit, I ordered the fish and chips combo alongside some chicken tikka. The fish was fresh and crispy—definitely a highlight! However, I found the tikka a bit underwhelming compared to what I'm used to from more traditional setups. The atmosphere leans towards casual, which is always comforting. Friendly staff were quick to serve, but the wait was longer than expected. I’m conflicted—I enjoyed my meal, but I think they need to refine their Indian dishes for an overall better experience. " I visited Royal Guard Fish & Chip last night and had a pretty good experience. The ambiance was pleasant - clean and simple, although a bit cramped. The staff was helpful and friendly, and they made a great recommendation for me – the fish sandwich. The sandwich was decent, but I expected the fish to have more flavor. The fries were okay, nothing too special. I would recommend the place to friends, but I think it's more of a takeaway spot than a sit-down place. Overall, a solid option if you’re craving some fish and chips. " (*Curated Review*)
" Royal Guard Fish & Chip serves some of the best fish I have ever tasted! The cooking method makes the fish crisp without being oily—it’s remarkable. I’ve also fallen for their tandoori chicken, which has just the right amount of spice. The atmosphere is simple but clean, just the kind of place I prefer for casual dining. The staff was a bit swamped, but that speaks to their popularity. A great experience overall! " (*Curated Review*)
" I'm a fan of cheap eats, and this spot is perfect! The fish and chips are budget-friendly with a hearty portion. The batter is crispy and seasoned well. I also enjoyed the kebabs that had great flavor, although they could be hotter. Despite a wait for my food, it was decent enough and served with a smile. If you’re in the area looking for a casual meal that doesn’t break the bank, I'd recommend this place! What a delightful mix of flavors! " (*Curated Review*)
" I stopped in while exploring the area, and I was quite pleased! The fish and chips were fresh; I could tell they don't cut corners there. While waiting, the staff was engaging and made me feel welcome. The atmosphere was nice—quiet and cozy. The portions were generous, enough for me to take a container home. I also tried a lamb curry, which was aromatic and well-spiced. It definitely has potential, and I look forward to trying their buffet next time! " (*Curated Review*)
" I'm not a connoisseur of Indian food, but I can confidently say that their curry was delicious! The bhuna chicken had the right amount of spice, and the naan was amazing! I did try the fish and chips just for comparison, and while they were decent, they didn't blow my mind. The restaurant was clean, and our server was polite and attentive. I’ll probably stick to their Indian dishes next time. " (*Curated Review*)
