" I had my family reunion here, and I was seriously nervous about how things would go given the previous reviews. Surprisingly, our experience was mostly positive. We ordered the family platter, and while some dishes were a bit hit-or-miss, things like the kung pao chicken and sweet and sour pork were tasty enough. The service, while a little slow at first, got better as they got into a rhythm. We ended the meal with some ice cream from the dessert table, which wasn't too bad. " I have frequented a lot of Chinese buffets but New China was a huge letdown for me. The food selection was not only limited but what was available was definitely not fresh. I distinctly found several items that tasted stale and others that looked as if they'd been reheated multiple times. Additionally, the staff didn't seem concerned about filling the buffet trays, leaving many empty for long periods. The service was almost non-existent—it took forever to get a drink refill. " Had lunch there and was horrified. The food looked appealing from far away but upon closer inspection was not fresh. I ended up only eating a small amount out of protest because I didn’t want to risk getting sick. The service was practically non-existent, as the wait staff didn’t show up until we were done. " A friend invited me over for dinner at New China, and I went with an open mind. The food choices were numerous, and some options tasted alright. I particularly enjoyed the egg drop soup, even though several entries were lukewarm at best. I did struggle with the service as it felt like we were forgotten at one point.
