" I was really excited to try La Riv after hearing all the buzz about it. Unfortunately, the experience was a bit underwhelming. While the ambiance was nice and the decor very upscale, the food did not meet my expectations. I had the shrimp fra diavolo which I found overly spicy and the shrimp were slightly rubbery. My partner ordered a simple margherita pizza which was fine, but nothing special. The service was good, but for the price point, I expected more authentic Italian flavors. Our server was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable which made choosing what to order a lot easier. The octopus appetizer was smoky and tender, while the mains included a flavorful osso bucco and a refreshing seafood pasta. Every bite was fulfilling and packed with flavor. That said, the desserts were the real star. The cheesecake was divine! I would easily recommend this place to anyone looking for authentic Italian dining.
