Empire Wok

Restaurant $$ 3.6 (363)

Empire Wok primarily serves a variety of Asian dishes that have been labeled as inconsistent in authenticity. Some customers appreciated the freshness of certain dishes, while others were disappointed by the quality and presentation. The overall dining experience appears to be hindered by the use of takeout containers even for dine-in meals, contributing to an overall perception of lower authenticity.

" I’ve been going to Empire Wok since I was a kid. It’s disappointing to see it shift to takeout containers, as it used to be a nice sit-down restaurant. The Kung Pao Chicken was decent, but the portion size felt smaller than it used to be. The essence of dining is missing; it feels rushed. If you’re looking for quick Chinese, it might be fine, but I miss the experience we used to enjoy. It’s not what it once was. " (*Curated Review*)

" Overall decent experience. The service was prompt, and the food was satisfying but not exceptional. The chicken could’ve been better, but I did appreciate the mass quantity I received. Just felt more like a takeout experience than sitting down to enjoy a meal. " (*Curated Review*)

" I really enjoyed my meal here! The staff was friendly and eager to help pick the right dishes. My companion loved the bourbon chicken, while I enjoyed a spicy dish that really brought out the flavors! This makes for a great takeout option if you're in the area. Definitely coming back! " (*Curated Review*)

" Absolutely loved the bourbon chicken from Empire Wok. It blew me away how delicious it is! I would recommend it to anyone. Portion sizes were generous, too. However, they didn't have plates for dining-in, which is a bit odd. Staff was helpful and friendly. I think takeout would be much better than dining in unless you want the convenience when you’re in a hurry. " (*Curated Review*)

" The only redeeming factor about this restaurant was the speed of service. I ordered the Mongolian beef, and it was a disappointment; it was bland and mushy. The crab rangoon tasted like cream cheese on empty wrappers. What a waste of a dinner! " (*Curated Review*)

" Empire Wok absolutely has room for improvement. My dish was way too oily, and my friend’s was underseasoned. However, I must commend their prompt service. If they can improve on the food quality, I can see it doing quite well. At present, it feels disorganized and not particularly authentic. " (*Curated Review*)

" The food is decent, though I think it’s overpriced for what you get. The sweet and sour chicken was a clear sign that not everything is made in-house. Still, if you need a quick bite, this place is okay. I wouldn’t consider it authentic Chinese cuisine, however. " (*Curated Review*)
