" Stopped by Los Pericos on a whim, and I was not disappointed! The breakfast burrito was just phenomenal, packed with eggs, cheese, and plenty of bacon. I was also impressed by the portion size; it was massive and reasonably priced. The staff made me feel welcome from the moment I stepped in, and they provided excellent service throughout my meal. It’s a casual place, perfect for grabbing a bite with friends or family. Even though I was in a hurry, I didn’t feel rushed in the dining experience. I decided to order the carnitas plate, which came with rice and beans. The portion size was great, but personally, I found the carnitas to be a bit too greasy for my liking. My friend loved their tacos though, and said they were the best he’s ever had. The service was friendly, but a bit slow during the busy lunch hour. " I recently had the chance to visit Los Pericos Taqueria while on a trip to Gilroy, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations! As soon as I walked in, the wafting aroma of spices and freshly made tortillas made my mouth water. I decided to try their carne asada tacos and a side of beans. The carne asada was cooked to perfection, juicy and bursting with flavor. The handmade tortillas were just out of this world; soft yet sturdy enough to hold all the goodness. The service was delightful as well! The staff treated us like family, constantly checking in and providing recommendations. For dessert, we could not resist trying the tres leches cake, and it was the perfect sweet ending. I can't wait to come back next time I'm in town. " I've been to Los Pericos Taqueria multiple times over the past year, and my opinion has shifted significantly. The first couple of visits were fantastic; I loved their tacos and the traditional flavors. The last trip, however, was disappointing. I ordered chicken enchiladas, and to my dismay, the chicken tasted old and slightly off. I brought it to the staff’s attention, and while they offered to rectify the mistake, it took quite a while for them to bring out a replacement. I understand that restaurants can have off days, but this had me questioning their consistency.
