Unfortunately, the allure quickly faded when the food arrived. The teriyaki beef was overly sweet, and I found myself struggling to reconcile the flavor with any expectations for authenticity. The chicken bowl that my partner ordered wasn’t any better—small portions hardly justified the higher price tags. " I’ve been to many teriyaki joints all around the area, and I wanted to give Joy Teriyaki a shot after a few friends suggested it. While the restaurant has a nice atmosphere, the food was not worth the hype. My meal consisted of chicken teriyaki and fried rice, but the chicken was small in portions and tasted as though they’d used a generic sauce.
