" To be honest, I didn't expect much, but I was still surprised by how disappointing the food was. The chicken lo mein was overly greasy, and my friend's sweet and sour chicken was lacking both chicken and a good sauce. The staff was friendly, but they seemed overwhelmed, possibly due to the limited seating. The atmosphere was nothing to write home about, something more akin to a fast food place. " I visited Gao Sheng with my family on a rainy evening. We were the only customers inside, which I found strange. The place could certainly benefit from a deep clean. The menu had a variety, but none of the dishes truly stood out to us. I ordered the honey chicken, but it was too sweet and almost tasted like it came from a box. " Last week I decided to give Gao Sheng a shot despite the mixed reviews. I was pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness of the restaurant and how quickly I was served. The chicken fried rice had a lot of flavor—however, the spring rolls were just doughy with little to no filling.
