" The Boss Bakery represents a piece of Hong Kong right in the heart of Chinatown! The last time I visited, the combination plates caught my eye. It’s not only flavorful but also value for money considering the portion sizes. The welcoming staff made the experience pleasant. I especially love their baked goods from the bakery section - a must for anyone with a sweet tooth! Although there are complaints about service speed, in my case, I was served relatively quickly, and that made my visit even better. I left with a smile and a piece of cake for later! This cafe has certainly cemented itself as a favorite spot of mine. " (*Curated Review*)
" With a name that evokes authenticity, I couldn't wait to dive into The Boss Bakery & Restaurant's offerings. My culinary adventure commenced with a warm pineapple bun slathered in butter; it had just the right balance of sweetness and richness. Next, I sampled the roast duck, which was succulent and layered with bold flavors. The portions were indeed hearty, another plus when considering the reasonable prices. Service was a bit hit-or-miss; our arrival coincided with a lunch rush so the wait for food was longer than anticipated. Additionally, the place had a certain no-frills vibe that felt very much like the diners of Hong Kong. While not the most luxurious setting, it was authentically rustic. Overall, I would still rate it quite high for authenticity and value. I’ll definitely be back for more! " (*Curated Review*)
" I am always on the lookout for authentic Hong Kong cafes, and I think I found a gem in The Boss Bakery! During my visit, I tried their lemon chicken with rice, and it was simply delightful. The tanginess was just right and the chicken was tender. The baked goods were also calling my name, so I grabbed an egg tart to-go, and let me tell you, it was just as delicious! My only criticism would be the wait time during lunch rush; it was quite busy! The staff was trying their best to keep up, but the service was a bit slower than I’d hope. Overall, I'm excited to return and try even more dishes from their menu! " (*Curated Review*)
" The moment you walk into The Boss Bakery & Restaurant, it truly feels like a piece of Hong Kong right here! The ambiance reflected a cozy, bustling cha chaan teng, vibrant and full of life with patrons enjoying their meals. On my last visit, I enjoyed their baked pork rice, which was rich and comforting – just the way it should be! Another highlight was their milk tea; perfectly brewed and not overly sweet, just how I like it. I appreciate that they use quality ingredients here, as the taste shows. Service was excellent, our server was attentive without being overbearing. I will definitely come back to explore more dishes from their extensive menu. This place has definitely earned a loyal customer! " (*Curated Review*)
" I couldn't resist stopping by The Boss Bakery after hearing so much about their buns! I was excited to try their famous custard bun and it did not disappoint. They bake them fresh every day, and the warmth paired with the rich custard filling was absolutely addictive! Although the café was bustling and the service a little slower than preferred, the genuinely friendly atmosphere made up for it. I went there for breakfast and loved their macaroni soup which, frankly, didn’t seem as common outside of China. This little gem is definitely worth a visit! I took some bakery goodies home as well and they were gone before the day ended! " (*Curated Review*)
" Despite hearing mixed reviews, my recent visit to The Boss Bakery was very enjoyable. I opted for a classic dish, the wonton noodle soup, which was packed with flavor and the wontons were very fresh! The restaurant had a nice, welcoming vibe, perfect for a lunch break. I was also impressed by the portion size; it was definitely filling. Service was generally good, though the staff seemed a bit rushed at times. All in all, I thought this cafe cooked up some solid dishes and I appreciated the authentic taste! " (*Curated Review*)
