Sorrento Pizza, while often frequented by locals, has faced criticism regarding its food quality and service. Multiple reviews highlight a lack of authentic Italian flavors, with some labeling the pizzas as cardboard-like. However, a portion of customers does appreciate the atmosphere and friendly service from the staff. The mixed reviews suggest that while there are gems hidden within the experience, potential diners should approach with caution.

" After hearing great things, my friends and I decided to check out Sorrento Pizza. The ambiance was inviting but, wow, the prices were steep! We ordered the Italian Meat Lovers pizza and were quite let down when it arrived. The topping distribution was disappointing—very minimal meat and more cheese than anything. The person taking our order was on the phone, making the experience less personal. Although some flavors were present, they didn't justify the cost. I can't see myself returning unless there's a big improvement. " (*Curated Review*)
" I wanted to love Sorrento Pizza as many suggested, but my recent visit was frustrating. After waiting an hour for our order, the pizza that arrived was barely warm. Unfortunately, the flavors were underwhelming, and the crust was mushy. The service left much to be desired, with no apologies from the staff about the delay. This was my first and last visit given the poor experience overall. I can't recommend this, especially not at the prices they charge. " (*Curated Review*)
" I had the pleasure of dining at Sorrento Pizza recently, and it has left quite the impression! I ordered a seafood pizza, and though the portions weren’t huge, the quality was evident. Fresh ingredients were used, and the seafood was well-cooked. The owner was approachable and even accepted some feedback about the pizza toppings. I truly believe that the place has the right intention, but they might need to tweak a few recipes. Overall, I would rate my experience 4 out of 5! " (*Curated Review*)
" When I first tried Sorrento Pizza, I was ecstatic! The concept of a local pizza place intrigued me. However, upon the first bite, I was disappointed. The crust tasted carton-like, and the toppings didn’t have the rich flavors I expected from an Italian pizza. It felt more like a frozen pizza than something fresh. The service was a rollercoaster; sometimes friendly, sometimes dismissive. I can't help but wish for more authenticity. Maybe they'll turn it around, but for now, it's a 2/5 from me. " I absolutely love what Sorrento Pizza is trying to achieve! The atmosphere is laid back, and it feels like a family-run place which is nice. The pizzas we ordered, especially the chicken pesto and the Holy Moly, were notably good! The owner was friendly and offered a free drink, which was a lovely touch! The prices are a bit high for takeout but with the quality of the food, it is worth it. My friends and I will be back for more soon. Overall, I would rate it a 4/5. " (*Curated Review*)
" I have to rant about my recent visit to Sorrento Pizza. I had heard mixed reviews but wanted to give it a try. I ordered a classic pepperoni pizza and was welcomed by a staff member who was somewhat irritated by my questions regarding toppings. When I received my pizza, the crust was shockingly thin but very dry, not what I expected from a pizza place. The pepperonis lacked spice; overall, everything felt bland. I would recommend they rethink their recipes because I would not return. " (*Curated Review*)
" My partner and I discovered Sorrento Pizza while exploring the North Shore, and I'm so glad we stopped in! The owner was a delight, sharing stories about the pizzas and his passion for food. We ordered a pesto pizza, which was full of flavor, with a generous amount of toppings. The atmosphere was cozy; perfect for a date night. I would say the prices reflect the quality of food here, so expect to pay a bit more. Overall, I couldn't have been happier with my meal. " (*Curated Review*)
