" Having been to France several times, I can confidently say that Chez Philippe delivers an authentic slice of French culture here in the Bay Area. The minute you walk through the doors, the inviting smells and French music take you back to Paris. I had the coq au vin which was outstanding. The chicken was fall-off-the-bone tender and the sauce was rich and delicious. The service was impeccable, with our waiter making excellent recommendations.
