" What an absolute gem Al Forno is! From the moment we stepped in, the ambiance was enchanting, and it felt like we were transported to an Italian villa. I started with the grilled octopus, which was perfectly cooked and seasoned. For my main, I went with the much-lauded grilled pizza, and it was, without a doubt, the best pizza I've ever had! The thin crust was crispy, and the toppings tasted incredibly fresh. Ending the meal with the chocolate bread pudding was the icing on the cake. Our server was delightful, despite how busy it was. I can’t recommend they enough; I can’t wait for my next visit! 5 stars all around! " (*Curated Review*)
" Al Forno has been touted as one of the best restaurants in Providence, and I finally had the chance to visit. Although I appreciate its focus on local ingredients, I felt some dishes missed the mark. The spaghetti was a tad too al dente, and the sauce lacked depth. I was far more impressed with the grilled pizza; it had the right amount of char and flavor. The atmosphere is indeed trendy, making it perfect for a date night or special occasion. I’d consider going back but would like to try more of their off-menu items next time. " (*Curated Review*)
" I had heard great things about Al Forno, so I was excited to try it for the first time. The atmosphere was lively, and the decor felt warm and inviting. We started with the bruschetta, and it was fantastic – simple yet appetizing. I ordered the pappardelle for my main, which was good but not quite what I expected. The flavor was rich, but the pasta was slightly undercooked for my taste. Service was prompt but felt a little rushed at times. Overall, a lovely experience; however, I think I’ll try something different next time. " (*Curated Review*)
" My dining experience at Al Forno was nothing short of spectacular! The wait staff really went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. I ordered the seafood pasta, and the freshness truly stood out. The atmosphere was lively but not overwhelming, which allowed for delightful conversation. We opted for the tiramisu for dessert, which was the perfect finish. This place should be on everyone's list if they're in Providence – absolutely worth the visit! " (*Curated Review*)
" I went to Al Forno after hearing all the raves. The ambiance is perfect for a casual dinner or special occasion. The team is friendly, plus the food is beautiful! The bolognese was hearty and teamed well with the homemade pasta. We also enjoyed the calamari to start, which were fried to perfection. I found dessert to be an essential finish to the meal; the ricotta cheesecake caught my attention, and it did not disappoint! Overall, great experience – will be back again! " (*Curated Review*)
" Just had dinner at Al Forno, and it was quite the experience! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, perfect for family or intimate dinners. I went with the veal special, which was expertly done, tender, and flavorful. My friends ordered the pasta dishes and raved about them too. The highlight of the meal was, without a doubt, the desserts; you need to make sure you order them ahead of time to avoid missing out! Strongly recommend visiting this iconic spot in Providence! " I had high expectations for Al Forno, and while I enjoyed my experience overall, I found some inconsistency. The grilled pizza was fantastic; I’ll give it that! However, my pasta dish lacked the seasoning I was hoping for, leaving it bland in comparison to all the other reviews. The service staff was friendly; they seemed genuinely invested in our enjoyment. Still, I can't overlook the plate’s letdown. I might swing back to give more dishes a shot, but I urge caution! " (*Curated Review*)
