" Mercurio’s Shadyside is a small slice of Italy in Pittsburgh. Every time I visit, I fall in love with their pizza all over again. The crust is perfectly thin and the toppings are balanced beautifully. Although the service can vary depending on how busy it is, the staff tries their best to keep the energy high. " The minute we walked into Mercurio's, we felt transported to Italy! The ambiance was cozy, and we knew we were about to enjoy something special. The staff greeted us warmly and were very friendly throughout our meal. We started off with the burrata which melted in our mouths. The true star, however, was the pizza! The crust was perfectly charred, with just the right amount of toppings. Our dessert - the gelato - was a fantastic way to end the meal. We left happy and full, ready to return soon! We went for a variety of pizzas including a vegetarian option which my friend loved. The gelato was equally delightful and the perfect way to satisfy our sweet tooth. " I finally visited Mercurio's and they did not disappoint. Authentic Italian pizza is hard to come by but this place nails it. The ingredients taste fresh, and the preparation shows in each bite. Getting seated was smooth, and the gelato selection post-meal is a perfect touch. Only issue was the somewhat noisy atmosphere, as the place filled up quickly, but it adds to the vibrant experience. " Mercurio's has instantly become our favorite pizza place in Pittsburgh. Last weekend, we ordered a Diavola pizza, and let me tell you, it was incredible! The perfect balance of spicy and savory, and the crust was as light as air. On top of that, the gelato afterward was the best we've ever had - we tried the salted caramel and it was divine.
