" I've been going to Taqueria El Rey every time I pass through Salinas for their amazing tortas. They are generously sized and really filling! The quality of meat used here makes a huge difference. My only complaint would be the occasional wait time during lunch hour. The staff are generally friendly, but when it gets busy they seem to lose track a bit. " It's hard to believe that such quality tacos can be found in a gas station! Taqueria El Rey has become my go-to place for lunch. I love their birria tacos—so rich and full of flavor. The salsa they serve on the side is the perfect match for those tacos as well. I've brought friends here multiple times, and they all leave happy and satisfied. The only downside is the parking situation, which can be a bit tricky at times, but the food makes it worth the hassle. Just make sure to have cash on you as they don't always take cards.
