" I had a lovely night at Kyo with a group of friends. The cocktails were deliciously unique, especially the earl gray one which was a hit among us! We ordered multiple plates to share, including the gyoza and some sushi. While the presentation was spot on, the gyoza was slightly overcooked. " What a find! We were in town for a weekend getaway and happened upon Kyo while exploring the city. The staff welcomed us with open arms and the atmosphere felt very laid-back and enjoyable. We started with miso soup which was flavorful and comforting. For mains, we shared the tonkotsu ramen and I must say, the broth was exquisite. It’s clear they care about quality. " Kyo is an absolute gem! The interior has a cozy vibe with beautiful decor that makes you feel like you’re in a little slice of Japan. The food is on point as well. I had the karaage and it was perfectly crispy, juicy, and full of flavor. I would say their portion size could have been a tad larger for the price, but the taste made it worthwhile. " Kyo has quickly become my favorite place for Japanese cuisine in Halifax! The authentic flavors and varied menu are a delight. I particularly adored their gyoza which had a nice crunch and depth of flavor. The cocktails were creative, and you can tell the bartenders are passionate about their craft.
