Sai-Lila Khaman Dhokla House is known for its authentic Gujarati flavors, particularly the Khaman and other snack items. However, the service has received mixed reviews, ranging from excellent to quite rude, which impacts the overall dining experience. The cash-only policy and lack of dine-in options also deter some customers.

" When I stepped into Sai-Lila, I was hit by the fragrant aroma of freshly made snacks. I ordered a mix of items and was particularly impressed with the quality of the Kachori, which melted in my mouth. However, I encountered a staff member who was quite terse and dismissive, which dampened my experience a bit. Although it’s cash only, the prices are very reasonable for the value you're getting. If you’re serious about authentic flavors, don’t pass this spot up! " (*Curated Review*)
" I discovered Sai-Lila Khaman Dhokla House during my visit to Toronto, and wow, what a gem! The Khaman was fluffy and perfectly spiced, the way it should be. Although it's a takeout-only spot, it’s worth every penny. I also loved that everything is vegetarian and the authenticity shines through. The only downside was that they only accept cash. I highly recommend coming early in the day to grab the freshest options! " (*Curated Review*)
" My experience wasn't at all what I expected. I had read great things about the Khaman here, but my visit left me disappointed. The Khaman was stale, lacked the sponginess I had been looking forward to, and the staff was exceedingly rude. It's unfortunate because I had high hopes. The atmosphere was quite dreary, making it hard to enjoy any food. The cash-only payment is frustrating too, especially without any clear notice outside. Overall, not a spot I’ll revisit soon unless major changes occur. " (*Curated Review*)
" I’ve explored many Indian restaurants, but none hit just like Sai-Lila Khaman Dhokla House does when you crave authentic Gujarati fare. The Khaman is light and airy - simply amazing. The Fafda was crispy and paired beautifully with the chutney that I can't stop thinking about. Disappointed to see cash-only service when electronic payments are the norm, but the price is still quite reasonable. Service was a mixed bag for me, ranging from casual to cold depending on the staff. But if you can overlook that and have an authentic craving, this place is highly recommended! " (*Curated Review*)
" I visited Sai-Lila Khaman Dhokla House twice in one week because I loved what they offered! The Khaman was some of the best I've tasted outside of India, very soft and flavorsome. However, I must emphasize that the service needs improvement. There were two different servers during my visits. One was friendly, while the other had a nonchalant attitude, which made my experience quite frustrating. Also, remember they only accept cash, which is a bit outdated. Overall, I still think I’ll be back for the food. " (*Curated Review*)
" A family member suggested I try Sai-Lila, and I'm so grateful! The range of Gujarati snacks was impressive, and everything we tried was made with care. The Khaman was definitely a standout. I was looking for something specific and the staff helped me select some additional options to try, so no complaints regarding service this time. However, it’s strictly cash-only, which is a bit of an inconvenience. Regardless, I’ll make a point to return for more of that delicious Dhokla! " (*Curated Review*)
" I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the snacks at Sai-Lila Khaman Dhokla House. The Kachori and Dhokla were delightful, and I appreciated how everything is vegetarian. The only downside was the very little seating available as it’s eat-in only, the restaurant could do better to improve upon that. The staff were polite, but I could understand they might be overwhelmed during busy times. Overall, I would recommend this spot to anyone seeking authentic Gujarati snacks, just go prepared with cash! " (*Curated Review*)
