" First of all, the decor is lovely, and truly gives off a Mexican vibe. Unfortunately, my food did not meet my expectations. I had the molcajete, which was not prepared traditionally and tasted off. It was still edible, but not deserving of the hype I had heard. I felt the service was average too; the staff wasn’t very engaged. Not sure if I would return unless I heard of improvements. " Came for Taco Tuesday with some friends and had a great time! The tacos were delicious and reasonably priced, and the vibe was lively. We also enjoyed some fantastic mezcal cocktails which were a highlight. My only complaint was that the place was quite noisy, making it hard to hear each other at our table. " I've been to Kalaveras twice, and both times the food was wonderful. I loved their fish tacos which were fresh and flavorful. However, my last visit had some service hiccups. It took forever for our drinks to arrive, even though the place wasn't too busy. Overall, the food definitely makes it worth coming back, but I hope they can sort out their service.
