" I visited Vel’s for the first time last Friday, and it offered a nice cozy environment for an evening meal. I ordered the chicken parmesan, which was crispy and served with pasta. I ordered the fried scallops, and they were some of the best I've tasted; crisp on the outside, tender on the inside. A couple of my friends had the chicken alfredo, and they were just as pleased. " Fantastic experience overall! I went there last night, and I can't recommend the lobster bisque enough—so rich and loaded with fresh lobster meat. I also loved the lobster roll—it was delightful and packed with flavor. The portions were so generous, I had to take half of it home! The atmosphere is cozy, and the staff is just fabulous. " You know, Vel's has been a family favorite for years, and I can't recall a visit where I left feeling disappointed. The last time I went, I ordered their lobster bisque, which is hands down the best I've ever had—rich with lobster flavor and a great consistency. We also tried the fried seafood plate, and everything was cooked perfectly. The waitstaff seemed a bit overwhelmed, but they were still friendly and did their best to keep up with our requests.
