" My family loves Chinese food, so we were excited to try this place. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a friendly atmosphere. However, I quickly learned that the food didn’t meet our expectations. The sweet and sour chicken tasted more like candy than an actual savory dish. The fried rice was bland and dry. " I tried House of China for the first time recently, and I have mixed feelings. The ambiance of the restaurant was nice, clean, and inviting, which I appreciated. However, the food was just okay. I ordered the sesame chicken, which arrived without any sesame at all! The egg rolls were dry and completely lacking in flavor. I expected much more given the prices. My latest pick was meant to be comforting, but the chicken teriyaki was overcooked and the accompanying rice was cold. The sweet and sour chicken was overly sweet and mushy, lacking any semblance of the delicious crunch you expect.
