" As someone who travels quite often, I've had the chance to eat amazing Oaxacan food, and La Casa de La Tlayuda holds its own. The atmosphere is absolutely wonderful, with lots of charming decor that gives it a welcoming feel. I enjoyed a plate of tlayudas with tazajo, which was appropriately spicy and perfectly cheesy. If you're in the area, this restaurant truly delivers authentic flavors and a delightful dining experience! " (*Curated Review*)
" This restaurant never fails to impress! The tlayudas here are some of the best I’ve ever had. I also tried their margaritas and they were refreshing. One of my favorite parts about the dining experience was watching as they made the guacamole at the table. The staff is always friendly, and I love coming here with friends for a casual yet satisfying meal. Definitely the top spot for authentic Oaxacan cuisine in Tijuana! " (*Curated Review*)
" I stopped by La Casa de La Tlayuda on a whim while exploring downtown, and I was thoroughly impressed. The ceviche tostada was a refreshing appetizer to start off my meal. I then had their famous black mole, which was rich and delicious. The only thing I would say is that the service could improve; I felt a bit neglected for a small time. Nevertheless, I truly enjoyed the meal overall, and I will definitely return. " (*Curated Review*)
" I visited this restaurant last weekend with my family, and it was thoroughly enjoyable. The tlayudas are generously sized and scrumptious! We also loved that they prepared the guacamole right at the table, adding a personal touch to our meal. The only downside was that we had to wait a little longer for our order, but given the flavors and high quality of the food, I think it was worth it. I’d definitely come back. " (*Curated Review*)
" I recently visited La Casa de La Tlayuda and I was genuinely impressed! The ambiance felt warm and welcoming. For starters, the homemade guacamole prepared right in front of us was a delightful experience. For the main dish, I tried the tlayuda, which had the perfect balance of textures and flavors. It felt like a true representation of Oaxacan food. The staff was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. I will certainly be back for another round of their amazing food! " I must admit I had high expectations, and while some aspects met them, others did not. I absolutely loved the tlayuda and the flavorful mole. However, when it came to the service, I encountered a wait that was longer than expected. I would recommend their drinks, specifically the mezcal cocktails, which were a highlight of the evening. Overall, a solid choice for anyone craving authentic flavors, with some improvements needed on the service end. " (*Curated Review*)
" La Casa de La Tlayuda is a gem in Tijuana! From the moment you step in, the decorations and ambiance whisk you away to Southern Mexico. On top of that, I enjoyed the Tlayuda with tasajo, and it was simply delicious. The handmade tortillas added an incredible texture to the meal that I haven’t tasted elsewhere. The only downside was the slower service; my drink took a while to arrive, but once the food came, all was forgiven. Highly recommend this place for anyone wanting an authentic dining experience!
