" After hearing great reviews about Mr. Wok, I finally made my way there last weekend. The restaurant had a nice atmosphere, but it was clear the staff was under some pressure. I ordered the chicken lo mein, and while it was fairly good, it was lacking the depth of flavor I'm accustomed to from other places. " What a great meal! I ordered their special fried rice and shrimp with lobster sauce. It was deliciously rich, and the portions easily fed me for two meals. " When it’s a Chinese food craving night, Mr. Wok is always our first choice! Their dumplings are a must-try; they are so soft and flavorful! Each time we order, we get something different, and it has always been delicious. The prices are reasonable and the portions enough that we often can take some home. " I have given Mr. Wok a couple of chances because I really want to like it, but I've faced issues each time. The food has had a mix of highs and lows; my last order of sweet and sour chicken was rather bland and the chicken was overcooked. The service is also hit or miss; one time they were kind, another time they seemed overwhelmed and uninterested. Though the portions are generous, the inconsistency in food quality is a letdown. " After a particularly rough day, I decided to treat myself to a nice dinner from Mr. Wok. I ordered the sweet and sour chicken and egg rolls. Sadly, the food did not live up to expectations. The sweet and sour sauce was too thick for my liking, and the chicken was lacking flavor. The egg rolls were burnt on one side.
