" I’ve been coming here for years. The food remains consistently delicious and the authenticity is fantastic! However, the staff's demeanor sometimes feels unwelcoming, making it a mixed experience. After several visits, I learned to adjust my expectations regarding service, but my craving for the shrimp wontons keeps bringing me back! The atmosphere is very clean; it gives you an enormous feeling of comfort every time you step in. Just wish they had more variety on their menu to explore. Still, I appreciate what they do and will keep supporting them. " (*Curated Review*)
" After eagerly anticipating my visit, I was sadly disappointed. The chicken I ordered was overcooked, and the seasoning was almost nonexistent. I couldn't understand how a restaurant specialized in Trinidadian-Chinese could miss the mark on flavor. The service was pleasant, yet it couldn't redeem my experience. I have no plans of going back unless I hear some significant improvements have been made. I would recommend checking out their competitors. " (*Curated Review*)
" A true hidden gem in the heart of the city! The shrimp wontons were to die for, crispy on the outside and bursting with flavor. I will definitely be back to try the curry chicken on my next visit. However, it was quite busy during my time there so be prepared to wait a bit – but it’s very much worth it! I love the atmosphere they have; a small but cozy place to grab takeout. 10/10 recommend! " I was very excited to finally visit Trini's. I grew up eating Trinidadian-Chinese food and had high expectations. The food was decent; it reminded me of home. However, the portion sizes felt a little small for the price, especially when I took a gamble on several dishes. The curry shrimp was quite flavorful but the fried rice felt lacking in seasoning. Unfortunately, the service was a bit off; it took a while to get our orders right. There's potential here, but they need to tighten up on a few details. " (*Curated Review*)
" I was excited to try Trini's based on stellar reviews, but it was a mixed experience for me. The atmosphere was inviting, and the staff greeted me warmly, but the food left me yearning for more flavor and spice, especially in the curry chicken. It felt like they held back on seasoning. I do think they have potential, but right now, I can’t completely endorse the place. Still, I may give it another shot in the future. " (*Curated Review*)
" Stepping into Trini's Chinese Bites feels like a little escape to the Caribbean. The owners are warm and create a welcoming atmosphere, even if it's just takeout. I ordered their house special lo mein and the shrimp wontons, and let me tell you, they did not disappoint! The lo mein was cooked perfectly, unlike others I’ve had before, and the wontons were deep-fried to golden perfection. I highly recommend calling ahead since they are often busy, but it's truly worth the wait. Can't wait for my next visit! " (*Curated Review*)
" Very mixed feelings about my visit here. The owners are sweet, which is nice, but the food was inconsistent. The wontons were fantastic; I can't rave enough about them! However, the curry shrimp felt dry and lacked flavor. It felt unpredictable and left me guessing if my next meal would be as good as before. For sure, this place has potential; I just hope they can figure out those flavor profiles. " (*Curated Review*)
