" I walked into China Kitchen after hearing a lot of mixed reviews, and my experience was sadly reflective of the negative ones. The atmosphere left much to be desired, filled with outdated decor and a lack of cleanliness. Although the waiter was courteous, the food made my stomach turn. My orange chicken tasted old, and the rice was a hard clump that had no flavor whatsoever. I wanted to give this place a fair chance, but they failed to deliver on even the basics of Chinese cuisine. " Very disappointing experience. I ordered General Tso's chicken and some fried rice. The chicken was bland with no sauce, and the rice felt dry and stale. There was no comparison to other Chinese places I’ve been to. The only reason I’m giving 2 stars is that the service was okay, but the quality of food was really poor. The chicken was swimming in grease, and the vegetable lo mein was mostly bland with a few limp vegetables thrown in. The portion sizes seemed to have shrunk dramatically, which is not acceptable given the price increase. Customer service is friendly, but it cannot make up for the poor food quality. " I recently decided to give China Kitchen another shot after hearing rumors about new management. Unfortunately, my recent order fell flat. The sweet and sour pork was a letdown; the sauce was almost nonexistent, and the pork itself was chewy and hard. The fried rice seemed stale and lacked the rich flavors I’ve grown accustomed to at other restaurants. Despite a friendly staff, the dining area was cramped and lacked character.
