" I had a mixed experience on my last visit to Chef Tai's. The food itself was tasty and hot, but the service could have been better. " I've got to say, Chef Tai's is a hidden gem for takeout in Boca Raton! Their seafood options are surprisingly good, I had the shrimp lo-mein and it was very flavorful without being too oily. The staff is courteous, and the food always arrives hot. My one critique is that the restaurant itself is quite small and simply designed, but considering the quality, I can overlook that. " I've been on a mission to find good Chinese food since relocating from NYC and Chef Tai's is right up there! The service is always quick; I’ve never waited long for my food. Their egg rolls are crispy and packed with flavor, while the chow mein is delightful. But to my disappointment, they no longer offer their Cashew chicken the way I remember it. " While I enjoyed the meal at Chef Tai’s, it's not quite as good as the Chinese food I had back home. The egg rolls have plenty of filling, but the dipping sauce felt lackluster. " Wow! I'm genuinely impressed by the food at Chef Tai's! Their beef and broccoli is the best I've had in Florida; it had a perfect balance of flavors. The fried dumplings are a must-try as well! I conducted a small family dinner and ordered a variety of things. It all came out just perfect! I appreciate how the staff was able to guide me through the menu as this was my first time here. " I've ordered a variety of meals from Chef Tai's, and the majority of them have been good. The chicken with mixed vegetables was flavorful, and their fried rice had just the right amount of seasoning. Once I even brought them a book to read while I waited for my order, and the staff let me sit there to enjoy it. " Every time I place an order at Chef Tai's, I'm greeted with a warm smile and good food. My only complaint is the lack of a pleasant dining atmosphere. But that aside, the quality and flavor of their dishes are hard to beat. The sweet and sour chicken is my favorite, although I enjoy their wontons as an appetizer too.
