" Although my experience was not stellar, I still think Kawah has potential. The beef lo mein I ordered wasn't very flavorful, and the chicken tasted old. I could see why the restaurant has been around for decades but would hope for them to improve the consistency of their food. " Kawah was a huge disappointment for me with their food quality. I ordered the kung pao chicken, and the chicken itself tasted very off; it had a strange texture, and I had a bad reaction after eating. While I appreciate friendly staff, it’s concerning that food safety seems to be overlooked here. I’ve seen reviews mentioning hair in the food as well. " I was really looking forward to trying Kawah after hearing so much about it, but I have to say I was a bit let down. The food was average at best, and unfortunately, I found that my shrimp was overcooked and rubbery. I wouldn’t say it was bad, just not as amazing as I hoped. " Absolutely loved the duck sauce here! I’m a big fan of takeout, and Kawah does not disappoint. Their food has a rich flavor that reminds me of the four generations of my family. The service was quick, and the delivery person was super friendly. However, I do wish they would invest a bit more in their presentation; the food arrived in standard containers which felt a touch careless, especially for their higher-priced menu items.
