" My experience at Fu Lam Express was quite disheartening. I had ordered a combination plate with noodles and some spring rolls, but when I got my food, the noodles were mushy, and the spring rolls had a strange aftertaste that reminded me of frozen snacks. To top it all off, the table I sat at was sticky and appeared to have not been cleaned properly, which made me question the overall hygiene of the place. The only highlight was that the service was quick, but I guess that could be a downside when it comes at the expense of quality. I will be opting for other dining options in the future. " Fu Lam Express is busy, which should say something. The atmosphere is casual and comfortable—they handle quite a bit of foot traffic well. I’ve always favored their fried rice, which is fluffy and savory. Order process is quick, and even during peak hours, the staff seem to manage quite well. Just be cautious as you might encounter some variations in how dishes are prepared. For a quick meal, Fu Lam is a decent choice in the area. " (*Curated Review*)
" After numerous visits, my feelings about Fu Lam Express have fluctuated. Their portion sizes are generally large, providing good value considering the price. However, many times, I leave feeling disappointed with the food's taste and quality. My last meal was a combo plate where the dish tasted overly salty and the vegetables were overcooked. I do appreciate the free fortune cookie with my meal, but that doesn't make up for the lack of authentic flavors. More consistency in cooking would go a long way. " (*Curated Review*)
" I was very dissatisfied with my recent experience at Fu Lam Express. The pork was practically non-existent in my fried rice, and the soy sauce they used was overwhelmingly salty. A couple of my friends were with me, and they felt similarly disappointed. The server was polite but seemed disinterested in us. Even though it's affordable and comes in large amounts, I left feeling hungry because what I ate was just not satisfying. I can't see myself returning anytime soon. " (*Curated Review*)
" So disappointed in my latest visit to Fu Lam Express. I had heard good things about their General Tso’s chicken, but it was bland, and the sauce didn't taste fresh. The fried rice was dry and lacked flavor, while my friend's lo mein was overly greasy. To add to the disappointment, a staff member was quite rude when we asked for an adjustment to our order. Not the best way to treat customers. The only redeeming factor was the portion size; you certainly get a lot for what you pay for, but I’d prefer to pay less for better food. " (*Curated Review*)
" Fu Lam Express is a hit or miss for me. The first time I ordered the Singapore noodles, and they were fantastic! The flavor was spot on, and the portion was enough for two meals. However, my recent visit for lunch was a completely different story. I tried the wonton soup and a combo plate, and it was underwhelming. The wontons were bland, and the combo plate felt like they skimped on meat—too many vegetables and not enough substance. The staff seemed friendly enough, but the inconsistency in food quality is concerning. I’m willing to give it another try because of my first good experience. " (*Curated Review*)
" I don’t know why Fu Lam Express has so many mixed reviews. I went there last week and loved it! The service was quick and friendly, and the vibe was relaxed. I ordered their signature dish, and it exceeded my expectations. Everything tasted fresh, well-cooked, and flavorful: just the right amount of spices. I could not finish my meal, which is unusual for me. Definitely worth it if you want a filling meal at reasonable prices. I look forward to going back soon! " (*Curated Review*)
