" I’ve been searching for an authentic Mexican restaurant and Los Amigos might just be it! The decorations make you feel transported. Food-wise, my carne asada was grilled to perfection and had a good char which was delightful. The only downside I noticed was the wait time for my order, which took a bit longer than expected but was well worth it once the food came out. I left feeling satisfied and pleased. Highly recommend to anyone in search of quality Mexican fare! " (*Curated Review*)
" I am a huge fan of Mexican food and am always on the hunt for flavorful authenticity. Los Amigos did a decent job but fell short in a few areas. While the chips and salsa kicked off the meal well with fresh ingredients, the main dishes left me a bit disappointed. The chili relleno lacked the robust flavor I expected and felt somewhat bland. On a positive note, the service was friendly and the restaurant was clean, but I need more spice in my life. I might give it another chance in hopes of a better experience. " (*Curated Review*)
" For my birthday, I decided to treat myself to Los Amigos, known for their authentic Mexican cuisine. I went all out; ordering nachos, carnitas tacos, and tres leches for dessert. The authenticity of the flavors was remarkable, and I appreciated the effort that clearly went into preparing the food. The carne was tender and flavorful, and the salsa was fresh and spicy. A minor setback was the long wait for our food, which made it hard to keep the excitement up. Overall, it was an enjoyable birthday meal, and I'll be coming back for sure! " (*Curated Review*)
" Visiting Los Amigos felt more like a chore than a pleasure. The food was quite underwhelming. Despite hearing good things, my dish was bland and lacked seasoning. I ordered a burrito that was overly stuffed with rice and beans, leaving little room for flavor. Even though the service staff was friendly, the experience was overshadowed by the poor food quality. I'm not sure I would return unless I heard it was under new management or had significantly improved. Just wasn't worth the drive. " (*Curated Review*)
" After our visit to Los Amigos, I have some mixed feelings. While the service was pretty good, the food didn't live up to my expectations. I had the burrito and while it looked scrumptious, it was entirely too bland. The portions, however, were large which can be nice if you are really hungry. I simply felt the original flavors of traditional Mexican cuisine were missing. I wish they took more pride in seasoning their dishes. " (*Curated Review*)
" I wanted to enjoy my time at Los Amigos, but my experience was marred by uninspired food. The burrito I had lacked the vibrant flavors I expected. The proportions were decent, but I was disappointed overall. The service was there, but I didn’t feel welcomed or special in any way. I might explore other local spots next time. " (*Curated Review*)
" I stumbled upon Los Amigos while driving through Shingle Springs and decided to give it a try. The tacos al pastor were exactly how I like them—juicy and not overly greasy. I took friends with me who mostly enjoyed their meals too, although the quesadilla was a bit bland. Other than that though, it was an enjoyable visit, and prices were reasonable for the great quality of food offered! " (*Curated Review*)
