" Kagura Gardena is a little slice of Japan right in the heart of Gardena! I had the Tonkatsu set and it was just divine. The pork was incredibly tender, and the batter was so light and crispy. " I was skeptical at first due to the location but Kagura blew me away! Their attention to the authentic preparation of tonkatsu shows. It is some of the most delicious katsu I have had outside of Japan. The portions are generous, and the price? You can't beat it! I visited on a weekend and while it was busy, everyone seemed to be getting their orders out quickly. Just a heads up, they do pack things to-go after 5 pm, so plan accordingly! " Finding great katsu is always a mission, and I’m so glad I found Kagura! Everything was well-prepared, from the crispiness of the katsu to the freshness of the miso soup. I also enjoyed the generous portion of cabbage they serve on the side. The only downside is it can get pretty crowded and noisy since it’s a food court. But hey, I come for the food.
