My last order had the rice slightly undercooked, and the beef in the stir-fry was chewy. I hope they are just going through a phase since this place is usually great. " Horrible experience! I ordered sweet and sour chicken, but it turned out to be just fried chicken doused in an overly sweet sauce. The service was mediocre, and it took ages for them to serve my dish even though the restaurant was nearly empty. It felt like the staff was not interested in providing a good experience. " I discovered Happy Family after moving to this area. On my first visit, I was blown away by the freshness of the ingredients. Nothing was overly greasy, and every bite felt light and satisfying. The vegetable lo mein was scrumptiously packed with greenery, and my friend enjoyed their General Tso's, raving about the spiciness and tenderness of the chicken! The restaurant does get crowded during peak hours for take-out orders, but that only speaks to their popularity. " Happy Family is genuinely a culinary gem. My husband and I were delighted by the menu options available. We started with the hot and sour soup that was perfectly balanced: not too spicy, not too sour. For our mains, the Szechuan shrimp was truly authentic, highlighted by fresh veggies and tender shrimp sautéed with the right amount of spice. Everything came out steaming hot and well presented.
