" Had dinner at Golden Wok last night with family. The ambiance left much to be desired – it felt rather dingy. We started with the crab rangoons, and they were decent! However, my main course, the sweet and sour chicken, was too oily and way too sweet for my taste. I left feeling disappointed since I expected a more authentic taste based on the reviews. " I've frequented Golden Wok for years and can't say enough good things. Yes, there have been some rough patches, but lately, the quality has greatly improved! The sesame chicken was tender and very flavorful. I usually take out, but I really enjoyed dining in this time. The atmosphere was relaxed and the service was better than ever. " Visiting from out of town, my friend suggested we check out Golden Wok. The food did not live up to the hype. I ordered the sesame chicken, hoping it would be a solid choice, but it was tough and the sauce was oddly sour instead of sweet. The fried rice was also lackluster. " I've been a regular at Golden Wok for quite some time, and I really want to love this place as much as I used to. Unfortunately, every visit has been a bit of a rollercoaster. Some dishes are good, but others are lacking. My last visit I ordered the garlic pork, which was good, but my friend's Kung Pao chicken was really underwhelming.
