" I decided to try Dragon 89 after hearing a few recommendations. Let's just say, it was a rollercoaster. The food arrived hot but when I dug in, I realized the black bean chicken. Some pieces were tender but others were a bit tough. The fried rice was decent, but again, not the best I've had. Overall, the flavors were okay, nothing memorable. " I had an absolute feast at Dragon 89 the other day. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the cleanliness of the restaurant and the warm smiles from the staff. I ordered a variety of dishes, including the sesame chicken and the hot and sour soup. They were both flavorful and high-quality. " Dragon 89 is a nice little spot on the Upper West Side with decent Chinese takeout. I ordered the shrimp fried rice and it was pretty good - not greasy and had a good amount of shrimp.
