" Bringing my family to Rainbow King has always been a treat; their service is impeccable. Our last visit, though, fell flat. I ordered the chicken lo mein, which had barely any chicken, and was mostly just noodles. My wife’s sweet and sour chicken was also a chance to disappoint. The wonton soup had a lovely flavor, and their fried rice was better than anywhere else I've tried! I had the Chow Fun and it was deliciously smoky with crisp veggies. The General Tso’s chicken is great on a cold night, and their fried wontons are a guilty pleasure. Service tends to be hit or miss, depending on who's at the front counter. The sweet and sour chicken tasted more like it came from a freezer than a kitchen. I’ve had better meals at local diners. Overall, it felt more like Americanized Chinese food than anything authentic.
